The begining of a dream with a classical car.
Diogo, a Sintra native with a background in archaeology, always had a passion for adventure and a dislike for desk jobs. So, in late 2019, he founded Mr.local Tours, offering unique and thrilling experiences to those seeking excitement in Sintra and beyond. Starting as a one-man operation with just one vintage Renault 4L, we quickly grew into a tight-knit group of passionate Portuguese friends who now guide small groups through the region's castles and coastline.
Driving the classic Renault, the Eletric Convertible jeep, the spacious van and even the vintage boat, Diogo and his team bring visitors off the beaten path to experience local sweets and liqueur, take snaps on the beach, and drive off-road to truly immerse themselves in the region. Diogo - the "Archaeologist"

A native of Sintra that From a young age has always been fascinated by exploring the natural wonders of his hometown. This passion for adventure and the great outdoors led him to pursue a degree in Archaeology in Lisbon, where he honed his skills in exploring and uncovering the rich history of the region.
During his time at university, Diogo had the opportunity to excavate in the Moorish Castle in Sintra, providing him with a unique insight into the region's past. This experience, combined with his deep love for classic cars and adventure, led him to start MrLocalTours, where he could share his passion for the area with others.
Nuno - "The Savvy one"

Meet Nuno, a proud native of Sintra who has always had a passion for exploring the great outdoors. With a love for nature instilled in him from a young age, Nuno has grown to become a well-rounded individual with a strong interest in history. Nuno's academic background in Translation from the University of Lisbon has given him the skills to communicate and share his love of history with others.
But his true passion lies in exploring the rich history of his hometown and beyond. Nuno has dedicated himself to uncovering the secrets of Sintra's past and bringing its stories to life for visitors. Spending some time in England and Poland as an immigrant, he was missing his home, Sintra too much, so he returned to show others what they are missing out in the beautiful country of Portugal and specially in the region of Sintra.
